Ruth J. Henry, LL.B.,
Ruth joined the firm in 2015, having completed her in-service training here. She is an associate in our property department where she advises local, regional and international clients in the areas of conveyancing, commercial and residential developments, secured lending, residential, agricultural and commercial leases, title suits, asset transfers, wills, trusts and estates.
In 2012 Ruth graduated with an LL.B (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, where she received the Winfield Belle Memorial Scholarship. She obtained her Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding law School in Trinidad in 2014 and was called to the Barbados Bar that same year.
While attending Hugh Wooding, Ruth also participated in the corporate law specialist clinic at the Trinidadian firm of Fitzwilliam Stone Furness-Smith & Morgan and also completed a course in mediation training.
Since joining the firm, Ruth has received a Certificate in International Trust Management from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), United Kingdom and is currently pursuing the “TEP” designation. She has also obtained a Certificate in Real Estate Sales.
Outside of the firm, Ruth is an active member with Variety – The Children’s Charity of Barbados and is also a charter member of Kiwanis Bridgetown Young Professionals.
